Karen Isaacs Phillips

I got married and had my first child (Brad) shortly after graduation. I moved to the Fairfield area and have been in that area ever since. I ended up getting divorced in 1992. I married my current husband in 1994. I had my second child (Rachel) in 1995. My father passed away suddenly in 1996 and my mother moved in with us and has been with us ever since. My son blessed us with a grandson (Kayleb) in 2006.
Beside spending most of my life running to soccer games with my daughter, I work in Cincinnati at a small distance learning university that specializes in adult education, Union Institute & University. I have been there for 13 years now and I love working in education.
My husband and I love to travel, when we can. One of our favorite places is Negril, Jamaica. We have been there 4 times and I can think of no other place I would rather be on most days!
Updates: in September 2010 we were again blessed with another grandson, Aiden. This time by Ricky & Jessica.
Fast forward to May 2013 - Rachel graduates from Fairfield High School and we couldn't be prouder.
September 2014 she starts pursuing her degree in Child Psychology but of course by spring of 2014 she has already changed her major to Physical Therapy on the advise of her counselor.
In August 2014, we attended our first destination wedding. Some of you may remember my brother, Dave Branton, his oldest, Alex got married in Clearwater, Florida and my mom actually performed the ceremony! I've attached some pictures.

I guess as far as funny goes, one of my tops would have to at least once a week coming out to my car in a parking lot of SuperX or the school and finding it adorn with condoms compliments of Rena King and Cathy Cramner.
And then there is one particular fond memory, during the winter of the blizzard of 1978?, probably the best, kindest boyfriend a girl could ever have weathered the snow and walked from the other side of town just to bring to M&M's. I think that day he stole not only my heart but my mother's as well!! Not sure I'll ever forget that day. :)
