Stephen Gustin

Stephen Wayne Gustin, 62, of Lebanon, Ohio, passed away on June 8, 2023, from complications of surgery.  He was born on April 17, 1961, to Charles and Shirley Gustin (nee Latham). He is survived by his mother, brothers Michael and David, his beloved wife Linda and his two beautiful daughters Madeleine and Samantha Gustin. He also leaves behind extensive nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and more friends than he could count.

Steve was a lifelong resident of Lebanon, Ohio and a 1979 graduate of Lebanon High School. He lived in Lebanon his entire life except for the four years when he studied chemistry at Xavier University, and 7 years he spent in Crested Butte, Colorado.

A celebration of life is scheduled to be held on July 29 at his home in Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, Steve would have preferred a plant, especially a Hosta or Japanese Maple, be planted and tended in his honor or take a ski trip and think of him as you enjoy the mountain, even better a blue bird powder day. If you would prefer, donate in Steve Gustin’s name to Share Winter Foundation at  https://sharewinterfoundation.org, a nationwide program which provides opportunities for youth who might not otherwise be able to enjoy winter sports.

The only thing stronger than Steve’s enthusiasm for life was his desire that everyone else share it.  He was a fearless adventurer, seemingly immune to pain.  His silent absence grieves us all.

Its always difficult to add a classmate, In Memory. Many of us go way back with Steve.  He meant so much, to so many.  His passing is so sad, and unexpected.  He lived 62 years, and to the fullest. He was always smiling and an instant friend to anyone he met.   This long childhhod classmate will miss you,  greatly.   Rest in Peace my friend.
